ART FOR LEISURE

Each month, Finnart organizes a wide range of both regular & individualized visual arts programs for our Kevään Nuput, Kesän Kukat, Syksyn Kävyt, & Talven Marjat regular program students. We offer three contrasting routes towards visual arts making; one made for growth, one made for leisure, & one made for specialization.

The variation of our available programs for ‘Art For Leisure’ varies every month, usually based on a different subject matter or traditional medium for each artwork. In the‘Art For Leisure’ program, we let our students explore the subjects & mediums they are passionate about, as they discover their likes & dislikes through art making! Our ‘Art For Leisure’ program offers our students a getaway from their busy lives in a stress-free, open-minded, & fun environment, where we encourage our students to paint what they like, how they like it! We hope that by participating in this program, students will be able to use art as a stress reliever or coping mechanism to their otherwise active lives!

WHAT IS ART FOR LEISURE?

Our ‘Art For Leisure’ program gives our students the freedom of crafting their own art journey with us, as they get to decide what subject matter, medium, & style they would like to focus on per artwork. By giving our students this flexibility, we hope to instill enthusiasm in our students towards art making, from which they may progress to other programs in the future! We realize that there are many students in Singapore who use art as a coping mechanism or getaway from their otherwise busy lives, as they find the artistic process both calming & enjoyable. Hence, our goal is to ensure that our students are able to enjoy & design their own artistic journey, into one that facilitates their own likes, dislikes, strengths & weaknesses. This ensures a more rewarding, fun, & innovative learning experience for both our students & teachers!
