This ‘Portfolio Preparatory Course’ has been specially designed to support our students who wish to take their artistic journey to the next level. The focus of this course is for our students to create a fully realized body of work, by showcasing their creativity, technicality, 2D & 3D medium application, & sketchbook development. Each program is personalized based on the institution the student is applying to & the level of skills required, as we guide them right up to their final submission. In this course we take a deep dive towards improving on a students weaknesses, & enhancing their strengths. This is accomplished through regular feedback, sketchbook development, & technical exercises. However, no matter your experience, we promise to make your prospective art journey a realized one!
WHAT DO WE FOCUS ON?
ENHANCING YOUR creativity
Students will develop their social, environmental, & personal interests by creating art pieces based on real issues in the modern world. This enhances their affective & cognitive abilities, & helps contextualize their chosen themes & subject matters used in their artwork.
IMPROVING YOUR TECHNICALITY
Students will strengthen their technical & fundamental skills in art making through various observational exercises & artistic techniques. We will focus on improving on a student’s weaknesses, & developing their strengths.
2D & 3D ART artwork creation
Students will learn how to create art pieces in 2D, 3D, & mixed media form. This enhances their observational skills as we expose students to various forms, mediums, styles, & techniques.
sketchbook development
Students will be coached on how to create a strong, independent, & fully realized sketchbook which supplements their completed artwork. Proper preparatory techniques, examples, & guidance will be given to the student.
developing your confidence
Students will be encouraged to grow their confidence & social skills through various forms of interview practice, reflection, & feedback. Students will be asked to reflect on their artistic choices, areas of improvement, & relatedness to the contemporary art world.
exposing you to the art scene
Students will be exposed to the contemporary art scene through various workshops & local exhibitions. Students will also have the chance to participate in worldwide competitions, which serve as a supplement to their academic achievement.
