INTRODUCTION TO MIXED MEDIA PAINTINg
A short course which introduces students to a contemporary form of palette knife & mixed media painting. Students will combine three subject matters of their choice (e.g. Flowers, Animal, Landscape, or Still-Life) which they will then recreate on one large sized canvas. Students will also learn how to combine mediums together, about basic color theory, & how to create thickness in their work through color layering.
Introduction to dry mediums
A short course which introduces students to various forms of dry mediums, such as pencil, pen, charcoal, & pastel drawing. Students will be able to choose three subject matters of their choice (e.g. Human Anatomy, Animal, Landscape, or Still-Life) which they will then recreate on three different shades of medium sized drawing papers. Students will also learn about different drawing techniques, & shading styles during their program.
INTRODUCTION TO WATERCOLOR
A short course which introduces students to various forms of watercolor & chinese ink painting. Students will be able to choose two subject matters of their choice (e.g. Anime, Animal, Landscape, or Still-Life) which they will then recreate on two large sized watercolor papers. Students will also learn about different watercolor/ink painting techniques, & illustrative styles during their program.
INTRODUCTION TO PRINTMAKING
A short course which introduces students to various forms of printmaking. Students will be able to choose three subject matters of their choice (e.g. Cartoon, Flowers, Animal, or Still-Life) which they will then recreate on three small - medium sized linocut & stamp onto various medium sized drawing papers. Students will also learn about relief printing, printmaking techniques, & how to incorporate lines, textures, patterns, & colors onto their prints.
INTRODUCTION TO PORTRAITURE
A short course which introduces students to the technical aspects of drawing & painting portraiture. Students will be able to choose one portrait of a person of their choice (e.g. Celebrity, Family Member, or Friend) which they will then recreate on one medium sized canvas. Students will also learn about basic drawing techniques such as proportion & tone, as well as advanced skin color theory.
INTRODUCTION TO MANGA DRAWING
A short course which introduces students to the technical aspects of drawing & painting the art form of manga. Students will be able to choose two subject matters of their choice (e.g. Character, Landscape, or Animal) which they will then recreate on two large sized watercolor papers. Students will also learn about basic drawing techniques such as proportion & tone, as well as different watercolor/inking techniques, & illustrative styles during their program.
